J N Flanagan will collate this data either to prepare Returns and / or Accounts to file with HMRC and / or Companies House on your behalf. We may also receive information from you to undertake specific assignment work which will have been discussed or instructed prior to being undertaken. We take your privacy and the protection of this data very seriously and would never pass on any data or information without your full knowledge and permission.

Under what principle do we process your data?

We process your data under the principle of Legitimate Interest. This means that we have a genuine and legitimate interest for processing your data, directly related to our professional activity as Tax Practitioners and we not harming any of your rights or interests.

What information do we retain?

We only retain the information provided to us by you. This will be subject to time limits stated in our this statement.

Who do we share your information with?

Other than filing Returns and / or Accounts with HMRC and / or Companies House for which we have already been instructed, we will not share your information with anyone else unless you ask us to do so.

How long do we retain your data for?

J N Flanagan retains information in the form of both computerized tax and accounting data together with paper file records (where relevant) for current clients for an indefinite period. This is for the purpose of referencing that information in the future and also to satisfy statutory record keeping requirements. For ex-clients of the practice, this data is confidentially destroyed after 4 years.

Removal of your data

If at any time you wish us to remove your details from our system then please contact us and we will delete all of your data within 24 hours unless there is a separate legal requirement for us to retain it.
